Deirdre Costello is a Sr. User Experience Researcher at EBSCO Information Services, talking to users and gathering data about why and how they search and how they learned their digital habits. When she talks to other people about her job, they usually say “You have the best job in the world” – and she agrees!
Deirdre has over five years’ experience in library and information sciences and has worked in special, academic and medical libraries. She has an MLIS from Simmons College and an MA in English from Boston College. Deirdre is passionate about discovering how technology fits into users’ lives and their pursuit of information. She most recently presented on secondary research as a methodology at Boston UXPA 2014 and will be presenting the User Research team’s findings on student search habits at Internet Librarian in October.
